Ostravice is situated in the picturesque Beskydy Mountains. It is well-known for the great number of visitors who come here throughout the year, e.g. cycle and hippo-tourism enthusiasts, skiers and golfers to name but a few. Golf area
To make good on this statement you need a high-quality golf course with interesting features. The OSTRAVICE golf resort covers 100 hectares of land. The course was designed with consideration to the charming scenery of OSTRAVICE, a village where the Beskydy Mountains begin to claim mountain-like elevations. The course winds its way through forested areas, wetlands and sand traps. It will, in the future, boast a water-world which will test players’ accuracy. The master eighteen-hole course, 6500 meters in length, has been designed by Chris Johnson, a successful designer of courses in Germany, Italy, Morocco, Austria, Portugal and the Czech Republic.

The unique shaping of the course designed with the most innovative technology , fully respects the landscape pattern of the local hilly environment.

The opening of the entire eighteen-hole course has been planned for the 2008 season; however, part of the course should be playable in 2007.

Club house
Visitors of the golf course will be able to enjoy a modern, large clubhouse, open year-round, which offers unique panoramic views of the Beskydy Mountains and its highest peak – Lysa Hora.

The café, restaurant and projection rooms are being designed so that they have a capacity of more than 100 seats. Moreover, the attic of the clubhouse will provide a very attractive accommodation.

Cross country area
The OSTRAVICE sports area has a never-ending season to offer visitors thanks to its unusual elevation and climate conditions. With the start of winter the golf course becomes a unique sports area for winter sports’ lovers and when the spring has announced itself, the area becomes a real treat for mountain sports lovers. What else is there to wish for? Cross-country skiing enthusiasts can look forward to a lighted and purely artificial snow-supplied track. The track is completely equipped to organize an FIS race, a top international race.

Weather permitting, cross-country skiers will have a 40 km well-maintained track for their pleasure including a changing room, service area, and storage space.

The year of 2007 is not that far away… When we have welcomed it, we will have made sure that the 2007 winter season is a welcoming one for all the visitors of the OSTRAVICE area.
